Half a kilometre up the valley and snaking up to below the village proper are the second set of terraces. These are much easier to access and accordingly are well maintained inside plots demarcated with barbed wire fences. These terraces receive good sunlight in comparison to the first set of lower terraces though otherwise are very similar in smell and appearance.
